Symbols are representations which have been used for thousands of years to communicate, without words, ideas and beliefs that are important to us.
The following are symbols that Sacred Cut has created using sacred and natural elements. (These symbol descriptions are intended as a guide, due to the meaning of symbols changing over time and our wish to respect individual interpretation. Angel
Angels appear in numerous religions: Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, to name a few. They symbolize devotion, spirituality and faith.
Christian Fish Symbol:
The Christian Fish is often mentioned in the gospels. Many times you will find “IXOYE” written inside the fish. These are Greek letters that translate into “Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Savior” (Greek acronym).
Cross:
The most common and widely used symbol of Christianity, the cross represents and memorializes the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This ancient symbol appears in many cultures as the “Four Elements” or “Four Seasons”.
Dharma Wheel
The Dharma Chakra is a Buddhist emblem, shown here by the prayer wheel with eight spokes, each symbolizing one of the eight tenets of Buddhist belief. The hub stands for discipline, the essential core of meditation practice, and the rim around the spokes refers to mindfulness, holding everything together.
Dolphin
Known for their intelligence and communication skills with humans, dolphins also symbolize harmony, freedom and playfulness. Many have been witness to dolphins and their healing abilities.
Dove
The Dove is one of the most recognized symbols of peace in the world today.
Heart
The Heart has long symbolized the spiritual, emotional, moral, and the intellectual core of humanness. Once widely believed to be the seat of the human mind, the heart is often a poetic reference to the soul. Today, it symbolizes love. Many classical and medieval philosophers and scientists have considered the heart to be the seat of thought, reason and emotion.
Hindu Ohm
The Sanskrit word 'Ohm' is a holy meditation symbol of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Through the sound, 'Ohm”, it alone represents the divine power of God, and is the sound-symbol for the Ultimate Reality.
Peace Symbol
The peace symbol is known worldwide as the symbol for peace and non-violence.
Reiki
The Reiki symbol means 'Universal Life/Love Energy'. Reiki promotes healing through ancient hands-on techniques addressing body, emotions and spirit.
Smiley Face
The smiley face was popularized in the early 1970s and has since become an essential part of popular culture, especially on the internet with animated GIF and other image representations.
Star of David:
Star of David is the most commonly symbol associated with Judaism. It is composed of two overlaid equilateral triangles symbolizing God rules over the universe and protects from all six directions: North, South, East, West, Up and Down. While generally recognized as a symbol of Jewish identity it is used also in other historical, religious and cultural contexts.
Tibetan Ohm
The Tibetan Ohm is a holy meditation symbol. It is the one sound, “Ohm', encompassing all others. It represents manifestation of spiritual power, inviting the presence of the absolute within.
Wave
The wave symbolizes different things to each of us. Just as every wave is unique, so is each one of us.
